Born in Kenya and raised in Nottingham UK, Alistair completed his GP Training in Newcastle Upon Tyne. He travelled to New Zealand in 1981 and loved it so much that he decided to stay. After working in Wairoa, he moved on to Christchurch then Dargaville before discovering Whangarei which he decided was the best place in New Zealand!
He has been a GP at Rust Avenue Medical Centre for 33 years and has a wealth of experience in all areas of family medicine. He very much enjoys being a doctor here in Whangarei.
In his spare time Alistair enjoys gardening with his wife Nadine in their lovely garden at Parua Bay which they open for the Whangarei Garden Discovery tours to raise money for the beautiful Whangarei Quarry Gardens.
